I love you

Sweet P has been signing I love you for a few months now, but today he learned how to say it with the sign!! It melted my heart!! I even cried!! It was the sweetest!! Man am I blessed!!

Dang it...........I just bought P a new pair of pedipeds yesterday. He's been running around playing with the box all day today. Heck if I just looked over and he's chewing on the silica gel packet that comes with new shoes. It was soaking wet with beads spilling out. He was crunching down on the loose beads in his mouth. I tried to get out what I could but he was biting the heck out of me. He wanted them and was really mad when I took them away from him. I called Mark and he wasn't sure if they are poisonous or not. So I just called Poison Control. They are non-toxic!! Thank God!! They are a choking hazard though so I pried out what I could.

Harper weighs...........

9 1/2 pounds!! We snuck into the hospital Mark works at today to weigh Harper on one of their digital scales. She weighs 9 1/2 pounds fully clothed, so probably about 9 pounds with no clothes on. She'll be 6 weeks old on Tuesday and was born weighing 5 pounds 10 ounces. Momma's milk is doing her good!!

I finally got to see Harper smile for the 1st time today.

P's showing signs he's ready to potty train

I am so super proud of my lil' guy...........I didn't expect to start potty training for a few more months but Pierce is getting ready. For the last few weeks, about once a day he'll pat either his crotch or bottom and sign change (usually after he's already gone pee or poop). Well yesterday he patted and signed that he needed to be changed, and as I was taking him upstairs he pooped--he told me he needed to be changed before he pooped!! He did the same thing today when he was wet. Mark said the 1st thing he did when he went to get him from his crib this morning was pat his crotch and sign change. Shortly after, while we were getting ready for breakfast, he did the same thing. Bad mommy, I didn't think much of it b/c I knew Mark had just changed him. He even stood up in the middle of breakfast to pat and sign change again. I took him to change him and sure enough, he was really wet.

Exciting 1st milestone & newborn noises

Harper smiled for the 1st time awake today at 3 weeks and 1 day old!! It was for dad though so I missed it. He said she smiled 5 times!! I was in the bath and he kept saying Harper's smiling. I confirmed that she was awake and not sleep smiling. Mark kept yelling back in, "She's doing it again." I should've jumped out butt arse naked to see. I can't wait for her to smile for mom!!

Newborn noises are sweet. Harper's very noisy. I remember P doing this a bit too, but Harper is such a noisy sleeper it's keeping me awake!! She wakes up about every 3-4 hours to nurse but goes right back to sleep with no problems. I'm just not getting any sleep b/c of her adorable baby squeaks. Yawn!!
