Harper's TWO YEAR well baby

Her appt was this am and was great! She's absolutely perfect! Growing great physically, mentally, emotionally, and cognitively. Here are her stats:
Height: 36 1/4 inches (95%)
Weight: 28.8 pounds (70%)
Head: 19 inches (75%)
It's hard to believe she started off so tiny!

I had plans to give her the varicella vaccine, but with Pierce having strep throat, there is a possibility that she could catch it again (even though she just had it). sad.gif We decided it'd be best to wait a couple of weeks b/c not only would I feel awful if she wasn't feeling well from the vaccine and then got sick with strep too, but if she were to run a fever after the immunization, it'd be difficult to determine if she were getting strep or if it was from the shot. So we'll go back in 2 weeks for a nurse visit to get vaccinated instead. I'm so grateful our ped is on board and supportive with our parenting decisions.

She was excited to hear about Harper's interest in the potty and said it's normal for early PLers to regress, to keep following her cues, etc. She gushed over her curls. She was impressed with how well she's talking (and how much) and starting to learn her colors and numbers. She was also excited to hear she is using pretend play which doesn't usually start until closer to age 3.

Harper had taken one of her favorite stuffed animals (a dog that my grandmother had given to P when she was born) and insisted our ped check the dog out too. She even listened to its and looked in her ears/eyes just like she did to Harper.

I'm so proud of my sweet baby girl and thankful for her great check up!
