I'm blogging live during the last quarter of the New Orleans Saints vs. the Indianapolis Colts championship game. Our 5th annual super bowl party was canceled due to a television malfunction. The stupid thing went in-op last Thursday night and won't be repaired for several weeks (they have to send off the chassis for refurbishing.....). It is disappointing as we look forward to this party and the company it brings every year. So as not to dampen our spirits too much, I promised a lavish spread of delicious (junk) food per usual fashion. I whipped up my famous guacamole, ham and cheese melts, buffalo chicken wing dip, and chocolate chip cookies all with the best (and cutest) little helpers ever! Mark and the kids played football complete with tackles through much of the first half. We got them in bed during half time and as soon as the Saints finish off the Colts, we'll be headed that way too. Although it wasn't our typical rowdy shindig, our intimate party turned out to be the perfect celebration.
